Competitions

Each semester the Communication Department will be sponsoring visual competitions for you to participate in.

24-Days of Something

Personal Project

Create one refined visual project that was created for the sole purpose of yourself. This should not be for school, work, etc. For more information on this see the project requirements at www.visualsociety.org/personal-project

Prizes

Each competition will have two winners. All six winners will then be judged and ranked according to overall quality. These winners will then get to pick one of the following prizes in the order they have been ranked.

*You must be present at the time your name is announced to claim your prize. Those that are not present will forfeit their prize and an alternate winner will be chosen.
**We must receive a minimum of 15 entries to award prizes for an individual contest. Encourage others to participate to lower the chances of some of the contests being cancelled.

Step #1

Choose a competition to participate in. Know that you can always turn in multiple submissions, and you can participate in multiple competitions. A list of all the competitions for this semester can be found below.

Step #2

Make sure you follow all the requirements for the competition(s) you are working on. Document and share your progress on the BYU-I Visual Comm Society & Emphasis Facebook group. Join this group today: https://www.facebook.com/groups/visualcomm/

Step #3

You will complete a PDF case study for each competition submission. This is what you will be turning in as your submission for the competitions. Each case study will have different requirements. Be sure you have read, understand, and complete all requirements associated with the project and associated case study.

Step #4

Once completed, submit your completed case study PDF using this form.
